Astrology-2

A person's horoscope is cast, taking into account the following 3 things:-
 1) Date of Birth (DOB)
 2) Time of Birth (TOB)
 3) Place of Birth (POB) (name of a place or it's exact LAT & LONG)

The first thing that is cast out is the Rashi Chakram that shows one's birth planetary disposition, the Janma Lagna (Rising sign at the horizon at time of birth, based on the LAT/LONG) and their birth star.

The Rashi Chakram will tell these three:-
  1) Birth Star
  2) Janma Lagna (First house - which of the 12 rashi is the 1st house)
  3) Birth Rashi

The Rashi Chakram will also tell which planets are exalted and debilitated at time of birth and which of them are sitting in their own houses.

The Rashi Chakram will tell a lot about major things about one's life based on the planetary disposition, offcourse, there are other Chakrams (charts) that are needed to be more specific, these are, the Bhava chakram, Navamsa chakram and the Shodasha varga chakrams (16 chakrams in all).

Below pictures show the exalted and debilitated planets in the rashis and the rashi chakram.

The navagrahas (planets) also have their own houses, known in astrology as Graha Maithram, which is shown below:-

Thus, when a Rashi Chakram is obtained, the navagrahas would either be positioned in their own houses, or may be sitting in an exalted house or a debilitated house or a neutral house (a house that is not exalted or debilitated or owned).

When a Rashi chakram is read for future predictions, one or more debilitated planets seen in the chakram, indicate, bad periods during their Dhashaas, meaning, when one's life is ruled by a certain planet during certain periods of time, the goodness or badness of that time is dictated largely by the disposition of that planet at the time of their birth.

Similarly, exalted planets Dhashaas, indicate good period of time, when life is smooth, lesser troubles, there is prosperity, growth, mental satisfaction, good health, no disasters etc.

Astrology-1

As per South Indian Hindu Vedic Astrology, the zodiac or Rashis are comprised of twelve in numbers and named as shown in picture below, with the default as MESHA (ARIES) Rashi chosen as LAGNA (Rising Horizon) and numbered as 1. And, the counting goes clockwise.

According to one's Date of Birth(DOB), Time of Birth(TOB) and Place of Birth(POB), the rising sign or the horizon or the rashi is specific to that region and the LAGNA Rashi is determined accordingly along with the position of the 9 planets, the navagrahas, this gives a RASHI chakram and tells a lot about one's life, the future.
